Bing

I hate Bing.  There.  I said it.  After my recent questions about friends' search behaviors I decided to set my default search engine to Bing to try it out.  Some of them swear by it.  I hate it.  I hate it.  I hate it.  Like 50% of my queries on Bing, I can't find what I'm looking for, but I know that Google can answer my question.  I switch over to Google and BANG (not Bing :-D) first result!  Perhaps the friends who liked Bing do mostly navigational searches. I don't know.  Or perhaps I have learned how to formulate my queries based on feedback from using Google so much.  I don't know.  Either way, one month after starting my Bing trial, I'm heading back to Google.  Goodbye, Bing!

Dry Beans

Every time I buy a package of dry beans and I read the package (I can never remember the cooking times!) it always says to rinse and check the beans carefully for stones since they are a natural product.  I've never found a stone.  I feel a little cheated after all these years.

Trip

I don't have a baby growing inside me to blame my weird tendencies and desires on. (e.g. The baby really wants some pickles!)  Perhaps I can project my desires on to Grace. 

Lately Grace has had a hankering for a good long car trip to a bunch of places.  This is her latest trip plan.  (She has a secret map fetish.) She thinks that May/June would be a good time for the trip.
